For three generations Marianne Manes’ Swiss family has been making sublime truffles and chocolates. Now living in Hollywood California, she and her husband Eric Manes created Coco Suisse to share their passion for world class Swiss chocolate. We use only the finest Swiss chocolate, hazelnut gianduja, organic cream and other quality ingredients. We continuously make our truffles and chocolates so you may enjoy a fresh product without preservatives and chemicals. Hence we suggest you enjoy Coco Suisse products within one to three weeks ideally. Our wish is for you to delight in a wholesome experience with the natural ingredients shining with their full flavors.

The Swiss chocolate we use is made from only the most superior quality beans which were bought directly from the farmers at selected global locations at fairtrade prices which promotes a sustainable way of farming for the environment as well as for building a healthy society. And of course very importantly the highest quality standard of the cocoa beans is achieved. Because we know exactly where the cocoa comes from we know it was farmed without child labor. Once in Switzerland the beans are slowly and gently processed by masters at their craft. The sublime fineness, which Swiss chocolate is so famous for, is attained by conching the cocoa mass also known as cocoa liquor together with sugar and sometimes other ingredients depending on the eventual product, for up to 72 hours. Conching is the process of agitating the mass with paddles in a vessel decreasing the size of the particles. The frictional heat also promotes and increases the fine flavors of the chocolate it is made into.

Marianne continues to hone her skills by developing new products as well as studying with Swiss Master chocolatier Fabian Rimann here in the US as well as in Switzerland where he is the owner of the uber successful Fabian Rimann Chocolatier store.

Keeping things all in the family, Marianne’s mom has designed all of the Coco Suisse packaging. Suzanne Potterat is a graphic designer in Bern, Switzerland.
